Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’ Grace Van Dien Talks Her Character’s Death and Jamie Campbell Bower’s Transformation
Grace Van Dien, star of the Netflix series Stranger Things, talks about the transformation of Vicna, played by Jamie Campbell Bower.

Grace’s character, Chrissy Cunningham, has remained a fan favorite despite only appearing in the first episode of the series’ fourth season.
Stranger Things fans were really impressed by her character’s chemistry with Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Coen.

Chrissy’s death sequence was the first time fans witnessed an entirely new way in which Vicana could kill her victims.

The 26-year-old actor was killed on screen for the first time and told Yahoo Lifestyle how “scary” it was.

“It was the first time he was dying on screen, so it was a lot of fun. And I love how brutal and flexible it is.”

“That part of the house … was a little scary,” she said.

Playing Vecna with ease, Jamie used a lot of prosthetics for the role.

As explained by Netflix, she spent about eight hours in the makeup chair every morning.

“Jamie is so talented, so it definitely pissed me off [and] scared me,” Grace admitted.

Yildiz met with the opposite lead before filming the death sequence and pointed out that Jamie’s ability to be so terrifying on screen is a reflection of his acting abilities.

“She’s very attractive and very different from Vecna, which speaks volumes for her talent.”

The star also said that he is “excited” to join the hit Netflix show and that he “loved” working with the cast.
